For all those who have anything to do with children

Please read Joel's blog and watch the video. It is a powerful witness as to why children should rear-face in the car to the limit of the biggest convertible car seat.

I know I'm an absolute weirdo for rear-facing my 22 month old and my 4 year old. I even plan to add a third rear-facing baby to our vehicle. I would rather have my kids alive and well than to forward face them for "convenience's sake"

Happy Birthday Karen!

She is 4 years old today! It is hard to believe with such a small child! We celebrated last night with a pink Barbie cake that I went to great lengths to make. She didn't eat a bite, so she opened presents while everyone else ate cake. She and the rest of the kids love her gifts of a plastic tea party set and a baking cupcakes set. They played hot chocolate and cupcake party last night and this morning. Now, if I can find the camera cord that was "put down somewhere" I might get some pictures up. That is- if I can stay on the internet long enough.

Update

It has been a long time. I thought I better make an update. So, lets see. We had fun at Halloween. We're having computer issues, so can't plug in the camera. I have halloween pictures, but that will have to wait. Emily dressed as Princess Peach (or Toadstool), Caitlyn- a cat, Eric- Captain Kurk (even bought him a phaser), Karen a Pegasus (last year's costume), and Benjamin a duck. All the good candy is gone.

The kids took two sessions of swimming lessons. Emily made it to level 3 and Caitlyn to 4. Now we have 4 kids in 4 different levels. I signed them up for January.

The cat had an abscess+- due to the cats who attack her. The vet fixed her up and now I am supposed to give her medicine and ointment twice a day. It is very challenging to give a cat suspension meds. I am perplexed as to why it is pink and flavored bubble gum. The cat has been indoors, although now she is supposed to go out for the day. Wednesday night we leave and the cat will have to be left out all the time with no medicine. I hope she'll be okay. The neighbor will feed her as usual.
