Caitlyn's Party

Today was the big day. Two seven year old girls came over to play in the pool and have cake. It was fun. (Our three girls were here too, so it was plenty of kids for me.) Caitlyn helped make her "cake" It is actually ice cream molded to look like cake with whipped cream on top.

One girl sewed Caitlyn a quilt. (Her mom helped.)

It is so refreshing to not get junk at a birthday party. I tried not to give junk as favors. I did give out most of last year's Halloween candy. (The hard candy that doesn't go bad with age.) The kids played a game picking up glass rocks in the pool. They kept them. Then we found some pink jump ropes with wooden handles on clearance. My kids think the jump ropes are the best. I'm going to take back the spares and get something boyish for Eric.

I sold the booster seat today! Then I bought the Fisher price one. The kids had a hard time deciding between silver and tan. They ended up with silver.

Here's a pic of Karen and her piggy tails.
